We evaluated the Connected Carers project, supported by the National Lottery Community Fund www.tnlcommunityfund.org.uk/ and delivered by Cardiff and the Vale Parents’ Federation, Touch Trust and GVS. Parents of children with lifelong or life-limiting conditions were given the space to meet in social gatherings. We explored what this meant to them.
True genius resides in the capacity for
evaluation of uncertain, hazardous and conflicting information.

Most projects broadly deliver what they set out to do. Our mid-term evaluations explore the extent of progress towards outcomes and what changes could improve outcomes further. Final evaluations focus more on answering the question, ‘So what?’ So, you delivered what you set out to do…but what difference did that make, to whom and why?
They have been highly flexible and have willingly adapted to the changing time lines of the project with good grace. I have been impressed by the quality of their work and professionalism throughout the contract and have found them highly responsive on email and telephone...(They) have suggested a series of simple and achievable actions to help enhance the project and ensure its long term legacy.
